The firehouse and neighboring community center were finished in 1941 through the joint efforts of Juan and Adolfo Camarillo alongside the County of Ventura. It served as a hub for various services, including the library, courthouse, and offices for the Constable, Agriculture Commission, and County Supervisor Robert Lefever.
