Stop 22 - Hollywood
Movie stars Walter Brennan and Joel McCrea owned ranches at the eastern end of the Norwegian grade. Despite their celebrity status, both actors were renowned for their approachability and generosity when shopping and dining in town. Today, their welcoming statues greet visitors as a reminder of their enduring presence.
These statues were part of neighborhood improvements in 2000, which also included the installation of the iconic clock tower. Beneath the tower lie time capsules slated for opening on July 4, 2050.
Since the establishment of the first Baptist church in 1891, the intersection of Arneill Rd. and Ventura Blvd. has served as the heart of our town.
