Stop 22 - Hollywood
Movie stars Walter Brennan and Joel McCrea owned ranches at the eastern end of the Norwegian grade. Despite their fame, the two actors were known for their friendliness and generosity while shopping and dining in town. Their friendly statues now greet visitors.
The statues were part of improvements made to the neighborhood in 2000 which included the iconic clock tower. Time capsules are buried beneath the clock which are to be opened on July 4, 2050.
Since the construction of the first Baptist church in 1891, the intersection of Arneill Rd and Ventura Blvd has marked the center of town.
