Stop 13 - Dizdar Park

In 1874, the Pleasant Valley Cemetery was established here. By 1945,  the cemetery had become neglected, and the town's children had no park to play in. Mike Dizdar saw this and decided to help. He paid to relocate the graves and build a new park. The Park was named in his honor.

The City of Camarillo has launched a renovation of Dizdar Park. This renovation will include a new plaza, garden entryway, covered stage, public restrooms, shade trees, parking lot and more! A new firehouse themed playground will be built, in honor of the old fire station.
